Milford Vascular Institute Giving Back To The Community
Sponsoring Families at Christmas Through The Boys and Girls Club of Milford
Every year, here at Milford Vascular Institute, it warms our hearts to donate Christmas gifts to families through The Boys and Girls Club of Milford.
Our entire MVI family gets involved to help make the Holiday Season more cheerful for those children whose families may not have the means to buy them presents.
MVI stays involved with The Boys and Girls Club of Milford during the holidays and throughout the entire year to help make a positive difference for the youth in our community.
United Way Day at MVI
Every year, MVI hosts United Way Day, during which we donate every patient’s copay to the United Way.
For patients without a copay, MVI makes a donation on the patient’s behalf in their name.
The United Way of Milford is a nonprofit organization that works to provide support to individuals and families in need.
Thank you to The United Way of Milford for all that they do to support our local community.
MVI Sponsors Community Charity Events
Milford Vascular Institute is honored to be one of the 2024 event sponsors of the 12th annual Ride for Hope.
The Ride for Hope is a charity motorcycle ride supporting community efforts to educate our children on overdose awareness, underage drinking, vaping and substance use prevention.
At MVI, we believe that helping to break the cycle of addiction starts with our youth, and anything we can do to help raise awareness and make a positive difference in the future of our community, we will do!
Proud Sponsor Of "A Chance To Shine Quarry Walk" Benefiting BHcare Programs
Milford Vascular Institute is proud to be one of the event sponsors of A Chance To Shine Quarry Walk on June 1, 2024.
A Chance to Shine is an annual event to benefit all BHcare programs.
The funds raised help countless children, adults, and families in our community as they strive to recover from mental illness, substance use, domestic violence, and other health-risk behaviors.
At MVI, we love our Milford community! Giving back to help our community overcome such issues is one of our top priorities.
Free Vascular Screenings All Year Round
We Provide Free Vascular Screenings To Help Prevent Stroke, Aortic Aneurysms and Limb Amputations
To make a positive difference and help save limbs and lives in our community at the Milford Vascular Institute we offer free vascular screenings all year round, to help discover artery blockage in the legs (a condition known as Peripheral Artery Disease – PAD), carotid artery disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Vascular disorders often develop quietly, without noticeable symptoms until they reach an advanced stage causing stroke, limb amputation, or death.
Conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid artery disease, and aneurysms can progress undetected, posing significant threats to your overall health and life.
Requesting your free vascular screening is easy! Simply give us a call here at Milford Vascular Institute at (203) 418-7386, or request your appointment by filling out our online form. It will be our pleasure to help you.
A vascular ultrasound allows our vascular specialists to examine the blood circulation through the arteries and veins in the neck, arms, legs, and abdominal region.
It helps identify aortic aneurysms, and blockages in the arteries of the neck and legs before they become fatal.
Finding and treating vascular disorders in time can help prevent stroke and aneurysm rupture before they happen, helping to save lives in our community.
By staying vigilant and proactive about your vascular health, you can significantly reduce the risk of severe health complications and improve your overall well-being.
Treatment options may include lifestyle changes, medications, and in some cases, surgical intervention to restore normal blood flow and prevent complications.
Understanding the dangers of vascular disorders and the severe consequences of untreated conditions underscores the importance of early detection and treatment.
If you suspect you might be at risk, consult a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation and appropriate management plan.
Regular check-ups and awareness of risk factors such as smoking, hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol can aid in early diagnosis. We generally recommend vascular screenings for anybody over the age of 50.
