David Esposito grew up in Milford, CT and attended Joseph A. Foran High School. Upon graduation, he attended Yale University, where he majored in Chemistry and also served as captain of the varsity baseball team. He then attended the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, and subsequently completed his residency in General Surgery at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center and Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He completed fellowships in both Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He returned to Milford in 2002 and opened his own practice, serving Milford and the surrounding communities. In 2006, he joined with Dr. Paul Davis in founding the Milford Vascular Institute, which is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary care to all patients.
Dr. Esposito is one of only approximately 130 physicians in the United States who are currently board certified in the three separate specialties of General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is one of the few surgeons in the state of Connecticut who is certified to perform carotid stenting, endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, and stent graft repair of the thoracic aorta. He also recently earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Yale University School of Management's Leadership in Healthcare program.
David is also very active in the community. He is a member of the Milford Rotary Club, the Milford Columbus Committee, and the United Way's Founder's Club. He lives in Milford with his wife, Melissa, and three children, Dante, Gino, and Nico. In his free time, he coaches them in baseball, wrestling, and football. |
